The past few days have been hot, about 30+, and sticky. There was a great storm a few days ago which made some people mildly anxious but all it did was increase the humidity. Then there was today it started of as a pleasant high twenties then the storm came through and the temperature dropped like a stone in treacle not fast but noticeable until quite frankly it was cold enough for a fleece. It was funny though 'cos the dogs normally ignore storms but two close together claps sent Amber under the bed and Charlie sheltering behind me. It was close but as I pointed out if you hear it then it missed you. I.m not sure they understood but they did sympathise when the telly went off right in the middle of the last few overs of the cricket.
In the good old days people, well actally my Mum, would unplug the telly and take the aerial out of the wall because, as everybody know thew lightning would strike the aerial and blow the set up. Perhaps because TV's were scarcer then they had more chance of being hit. Still my Gran covered up all shiny surfaces in a storm, that would be hell in this place as every room has a plethora of mirrors. Ahh good times.
Well the bird of the day was Brown Goshawk hunting Starling near the local school. Not sure if it caught one but there are plenty about OK cute photo
