This is going to be chopped into days I feel as there seems to be no electronic connection to the outside world from Adelaide. At least not an easy one. Also I have had issues with technology as I plugged my phone into the computer to charge it I must have asked it to wipe everything. So all contacts, texts, pictures all got wiped which was kind of upsetting in a head banging way as I thought they could be rescues but no, gone they were and gone they will stay.
So Friday was kind of traumatic as we left the dogs for the first time at kennels. It was kind of leaving your only child at school for the first time with large eyes and puzzled expressions, still I guess they will forgive us given time. So road trip Ballarat to Adelaide, I think it was more exciting the first time but I do enjoy the music and the company and it is only six and a bit hours. Given that South Australia is half an hour behind we made it in plenty of time before having dinner with masses of people that are going to the wedding on the morrow. Also watching Hol tottering around very elegantly I have to say on her sparkly high heels was extremely interesting. Glad I don’t have to wear them. It was a bit confusing as I only knew Ruth, Michael and Hol and the chattering classes were out in force so it made conversation slightly difficult but it was a pleasant evening and I was very grateful to get to the motel. The strange thing about the journey here was the lack of birdlife on the road. It is pretty dry in the Mallee country but there again it is a desert. I should also mention the eyelashes that were extended and blacked so they looked like an escapee from Dusty Springfield eye box.
So many memories of tis road funnily enough all of them good even the chook shed accommodation at Tintinara where six of us squeezed into a tiny cabin.
